Homestyle Hobby is about fun and family.  Statistics in America show an average work day for employed persons, ages 25 to 54 with children under 18, we spend 2.6 hours on leisure and sports activities.  We spend another 2.5 hours on “other” activities.     However, half that leisure time and probably some of the other activity time is spent watching TV.

I know my family falls into those statistics and I also know we are not really happy about it.  My daughter is always asking if we can do a “family activity”.  When questioned, she wants to play a board game or just do something together as a family.  I believe there are people of all ages that wish to “reconnect” with their family but are not sure how to accomplish it.

I remember that some of my fondest memories are of my mom teaching me how to sew and do embroidery.  My projects may not have ended up as ”pretty” as hers, but it was wonderful to see the picture starting to take shape and know that I had created it. 

I want this site to be fun for me and you.  I wish to instill a sense of family value while providing products and services that will promote “family activities”.
